City of Tamarac

The City of Tamarac is 12 square miles located in central Broward county and enjoys a population of approximately 59,000 residents. Tamarac has one of the lowest crime rates of any city in Broward county.

Tamarac is designated a "Millennium Community" by The White House and received a "City Livability Award" from the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The Parks and Recreation Department provides a variety of programs, classes, events and services for residents of all ages, seven days a week.

Tamarac continues to grow and add businesses that benefit the residents. The city is within 20 minutes of the Ft Lauderdale International Airport, Port Everglades and railways. It is easily accessible from the Sawgrass Expressway and the Florida Turnpike.
